To apply to be an officer, please fill this form, e-mail it to JET78 by September 28th. You must also attend CSA e-board meetings (Mondays @ 5, Uris Hall G24) and help out at one event. Elections will be held October 4th and announced October 5th. If you are interested in being an officer, please remember attitude is KEY and talking to as many current e-board members as possible is a definite plus. Those interested in social positions should talk to current Social Chair, Christina Chan, CC494.

Intramural Sports
INTERESTED IN INTRAMURAL SPORTS?!
Throughout the fall and spring semesters, CSA will be forming teams to participate in multiple intramural sports. Last year, CSA made intramural Volleyball and Basketball teams. This year, along with Volleyball and Basketball, let’s try to make more intramural sports teams like Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer and others. Teams are made depending on whether enough people come out and want to play, so get all your CSA buddies to join!

The first sport coming up is INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL. There will be at least 6 players(3 girls + 3 guys) on each team and possibly more than one team depending on the number of people who sign up. We know it’s early, but the season begins Oct 26 and ends Dec 2 and games will be held in Barton Hall. We already have a group of people who have started to play volleyball weekly (but not enough to make a team so join!), so we just want new people to come out and practice/have fun/meet new people/play with us before the season starts. If you are interested, please email JET78 before Oct 13 or even earlier if you want to play with us now! Plus it’s free because by being a member of CSA, we pay for the registration fee. NO prior experience needed (half the team last year had 0 volleyball experience in high school and it was amazing!). This is just a good way to get some exercise, meet new people and have fun!

Lion Dance Team
CSA owns three lionheads, and we are looking to form a team under the guidance of the new Assistant Dean of Students for Asian/Asian-American Outreach/Director of A3C, Patricia Nguyen! Patricia has 10 years of experience with lion dance and has developed and trained teams in the past. It’s a GREAT work out and a fun way to learn about Chinese culture and help the community. If you are interested please e-mail me (jet78) or Patricia (pcn29).
